David McGee is professor and chair of physics. His present teaching activities focus on advanced laboratory courses, and his research is a blend of photonics and materials science. Before coming to TCNJ he worked in the laser and aerospace industry and held visiting positions at the US Naval Research Lab and Bell Labs-Lucent Technologies. His research has been funded by the Research Corporation, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Fulbright Scholar program. His present research is on optical microstructures for diffractive optics, and involves a collaboration with the TCNJ chemistry department and the University of Applied Sciences-Berlin (Beuth University).
